Negroni Week is fast approaching and this is the second year Guild Tavern is participating. What is Negroni Week? It’s a virtual and physical celebration thrown by Imbibe and Campari for one of “the world’s greatest cocktails.” And bonus, the revelry is for a charitable cause. We will be donating $1 for every Negroni sold to VT FEED.

For our portion of the party, Sean has three featured Negronis lined up for you. In no particular order, here they are.
Gin, Citra-hopped Blanc Vermouth, Aperol, grapefruit bitters
2 oz. Gin
3/4 oz. Citra Hops Infused Blanc Vermouth
1/4 oz. Aperol
2 dashes grapefruit bitters
Stir with ice and then julep strain. Serve in a Nick & Nora glass; garnish with an orange peel
Genever, Punt e Mes, Cynar
1 oz. Genever
1 oz. Punt e Mes
1 oz. Cynar
Stir with ice and then julep strain. Serve in a Nick & Nora glass; garnish with a flamed lemon peel.
Gin, Cointreau, Campari, grapefruit, orange bitters
3/4 oz. Gin
3/4 oz. Cointrau
3/4 oz. Campari
3/4 oz. grapefruit juice
2 dashes orange bitters
Shake with ice and then double strain. Serve in a coupe; garnish with a flamed orange peel
Try them at home or stop in during the week and have Sean mix one up for you personally.
Side note, my personal all-time favorite Negroni is made with Beefeater Gin, Carpano Antica, and Campari. The day I discovered this drink of beauty, my monthly expenses increased ten-fold. No regrets though. None at all.
